Gananoque Council is considering a request that could make it easier for seniors to attend programs at the Seniors Drop-In Centre.
During a recent council meeting, Shannon Griggs of the Gananoque Seniors Association and Bob Howard appeared before council asking for free parking in the Pine Street parking lot on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The request is intended to help seniors attending activities at the Seniors Drop-In Centre located at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 92.
Following the presentation, council passed a motion directing staff to prepare a report on the proposal for consideration at a future meeting.
