The unofficial list of candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is starting to take shape.
Current Mayor Corinna Smith-Gatcke is the only candidate running for the Mayor seat. In Ward 1 Monique Antoine-Hartley is on the ballot.
For English School Board Trustee with the Upper Canada District School Board John McAllister and Christopher Buczynski will be running.
As of now, no candidates are listed for seats on council to represent Ward 2 or Ward 3. the final day to for candidate confirmations in Ontario is August 12th.
