Gananoque residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Canada Day with a full day of family-friendly activities on July 1.
Festivities begin at 9 a.m. in Town Hall Park with a market, food vendors, and entertainment. A FIFA Fun Fest will run from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring games, skills challenges, music, and trivia. Children can enjoy a special kids’ event and balloon artist from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by a performance from magician and comedian Rob Driscoll from 3 to 4 p.m.
The celebration continues at Joel Stone Park beginning at 7:45 p.m. with appearances by the Town Crier, Poet Laureate, and local dignitaries, followed by the national anthem and live music from Friday’s Child and Chickenwire.
The evening will conclude with a fireworks display over the waterfront at 9:45 p.m. as the community comes together to celebrate Canada Day.
