Motorists travelling through the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands should prepare for temporary traffic delays on Ivy Lea Road as parking area upgrades get underway.
Township officials say traffic disruptions will remain in place while crews complete improvements to the parking area, with work expected to continue until June 30. Drivers are being reminded to obey all traffic control signage, follow directions from flag persons, and give workers and construction equipment plenty of space.
Officials note that the construction schedule is dependent on weather conditions and available resources, meaning timelines could change if necessary.
The Township is asking residents and visitors to plan ahead and allow extra travel time when passing through the area. Officials thank motorists for their patience and cooperation while the improvements are completed
