A journey that began in 1998 came to an end in Seeley’s Bay as Debbie Briggs officially retired as full time doctor in Seeley’s Bay. A huge crowd turned out last Saturday at the Seeley’s Bay Community Hall to say thank you and wish her well. Briggs her official retirement did not happen overnight.
Briggs says although full time work is done, she’s not stepping away totally just yet.
Briggs was very happy to see such a turn out to her retirement party.
Dr. Tauqeer Tariq has been recruited to take Dr. Briggs place at the Seeley’s Bay Medical Clinic. Tariq was recruited through Ontario’s Rural Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) pilot program.
