Students at Linklater Public School got a refreshing start to summer this week as members of the Gananoque Fire Service returned for their annual Cool Down Event.
The event, held Tuesday, gave students an opportunity to cool off, have fun, and celebrate the end of another successful school year. Firefighters say the tradition has become one of their favourite community events as temperatures rise and summer approaches.
Gananoque Fire Service noted that the event reflects the small-town values that help make the community special, bringing neighbours together and creating positive experiences for local youth.
Firefighters thanked the staff and students at Linklater Public School for welcoming them once again and wished all students a safe, enjoyable, and memorable summer break as the school year comes to a close.
