Beginning Friday (June 26), Ontario will raise speed limits to 110 km/h on nearly 1,000 kilometres of additional provincial highways, including stretches of Highways 401 and 416 in eastern Ontario.
The government says almost 89 per cent of the provincial highway network will eventually carry the higher limit, with only reviewed and appropriately designed highways included in the expansion.
