Gananoque Council has approved free parking on Wednesdays at the Pine Street parking lot through November 30, 2026.
The exemption to the Town’s Traffic and Parking By-law was granted following a request from the Gananoque Seniors Association and the Gananoque Royal Canadian Legion for additional parking relief.
The initiative is intended to improve access for seniors, Legion members and visitors attending activities and events in the area on Wednesdays.
The free parking exemption applies only to the Pine Street parking lot and will remain in effect until the end of November.
Town officials say the temporary measure is designed to support community organizations while making it easier for residents to access programs and services in the downtown area.
