Postal services at the Kingston Post Office and processing facility at 120 Clarence Street are expected to resume today following a temporary closure on Friday for building maintenance.
The shutdown affected mail delivery and customer pickups for Kingston and surrounding communities, including Gananoque and nearby areas, as processing operations were placed on hold during the maintenance period.
During the closure, customers were directed to alternate service locations to access postal services. Canada Post says the facility is expected to return to normal operations today, with mail processing and delivery services resuming for all impacted postal code regions.
Residents in Gananoque and surrounding communities may experience minor delays as operations return to full capacity, but services are expected to stabilize quickly as backlogged mail is processed and distributed.
