After a long winter the new look for the Jerry Park Playground in Lansdowne was unveiled last week before a great crowd of residents, children and councilors from the Township. TLTI Councilor Angela Kelman explained some of the major improvements from the previous structure.
Kelman says the new rubber flooring was the most expensive part but was necessary. She said she thought of the flooring after visiting Lake Ontario Park in Kingston.
Kelman explains how important play is for our children.
Township Mayor Corinna Smith-Gatcke and several young members of the community helped cut the ribbon to open the structures. Both the mayor and Councilor Kelman thanked everyone involved for making this new playground structure and its added accessibility features a reality and is now open for all to enjoy.
