The Lansdowne Fair is looking for its next ambassador, with applications now open for the 2026 program.
Organizers are inviting permanent Leeds County residents between the ages of 17 and 22 to apply. Students attending college or university away from home remain eligible. No farming background is required, with organizers encouraging anyone who enjoys community involvement to apply.
The successful candidate will receive a $500 prize, gifts, be crowned during the fair’s opening ceremonies, and represent the Lansdowne Fair at events throughout the coming year.
Applications must be submitted by July 7. Those interested can register by contacting Claire Warren at 613-561-9766.
Organizers say the ambassador program is a great opportunity for young adults to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and become the face of one of the region’s longest-running community traditions.
