Beginning Monday, July 13, the Town of Gananoque will launch a pilot program testing new Town Hall operating hours through October 2, 2026.
During the trial, Town Hall will be open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Fridays. Officials say the initiative is designed to explore improvements in customer service, staff productivity, and work-life balance while maintaining quality municipal services.
The Town will monitor customer visits, staff productivity, and public feedback throughout the trial period to help determine whether the adjusted schedule should be made permanent.
Officials note that not all municipal services will follow the new hours, as some departments will continue regular operations to ensure essential services remain available to residents.
The Town is thanking residents for their patience and is encouraging feedback during the evaluation of the pilot program.
