Motorists in Gananoque are being advised to plan for delays as a section of Charles Street North is temporarily closed for construction today.
The closure is in effect between Brock Street and Garden Street to allow crews to complete curb work. According to the Town of Gananoque, the road is expected to reopen at approximately 4:00 p.m. today.
A signed detour route has been put in place, and drivers are asked to follow all posted traffic signage while travelling through the area. The town is also reminding motorists to use extra caution around construction crews and equipment and to allow additional travel time if passing through the downtown area.
Town officials thank residents, businesses, and motorists for their patience and understanding while the work is completed.
