A beloved Thousand Islands summer tradition continues this Sunday, with the return of the water shuttle service for the weekly outdoor worship gathering at Historic Half Moon Bay.
After the shuttle service was cancelled last week, organizers say the boat shuttle will be back in operation for this Sunday’s service. The shuttle will depart from the Water Street Dock in Gananoque at approximately 3:30 p.m. for the trip to Half Moon Bay.
The non-denominational worship service begins at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, and welcomes residents, visitors, and boaters to the historic waterfront location near Gananoque.
This week’s guest minister is Jeff McArn of the United Methodist Church in Grindstone Island, New York.
The seasonal services celebrate a tradition dating back to 1887 and continue each Sunday through August 9, offering a unique opportunity to gather at one of the Thousand Islands’ most scenic locations.
