Leeds and the Thousand Islands Council will have a busy agenda when it meets tonight, with several major projects and planning matters coming forward.
Council will consider a recommendation to approve additional funding for upgrades at Fire Station 1, including a new clean room and mezzanine. The project would receive a $75,000 capital budget transfer and see construction awarded to Ubcon Construction Limited.
Council will also review unexpected costs related to structural repairs at the Township Municipal Office. Staff are recommending nearly $246,000 in capital transfers from delayed projects to address extensive water damage and structural rot discovered during exterior repairs.
A zoning amendment application for 158 Hill Island will also return for a final decision. The proposal would allow a new marine facility, including a boathouse, ramp, pedestrian bridge, and rooftop sun deck.
Other items include heritage designation applications, private road grants, and the appointment of a municipal representative to the Cataraqui Source Protection Committee.
