A major water main replacement project is set to begin in Gananoque later this month to improve the reliability of the town’s water system.
The Town says Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd. has been awarded the contract to replace the water main between King Street East and Elmwood Drive. Construction is expected to begin in mid-to-late July and wrap up by the end of September 2026.
The project follows several recent water main breaks in the area and is intended to provide a more reliable water supply to the neighbourhood and Gananoque’s east end.
Residents should expect two planned water shutdowns during construction. One is expected to last up to four hours, while the second could last up to eight hours. Impacted properties will receive hand-delivered notices before any scheduled service interruptions.
