Gananoque residents are reminded that Town Hall is operating under a pilot schedule through October 2, 2026.
As part of the trial, Town Hall is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with extended hours on Thursdays until 6 p.m.
Town officials say the pilot is designed to determine whether the adjusted schedule can improve customer service, boost staff productivity and support a better work-life balance for employees while maintaining the level of service residents expect.
Throughout the trial, the Town will track customer visits, staff productivity and public feedback before deciding whether the changes should become permanent.
Residents should note that not all municipal departments are following the new schedule, with some continuing to operate regular hours to ensure essential services remain available.
The Town is encouraging residents to share their feedback as the pilot program continues.
