Musical Retirement Home invites seniors, families and caregivers to enjoy professional live music every Wednesday evening
A retirement home in Seeley’s Bay is using the power of music to bring people together through free weekly live performances for seniors, families, caregivers and community members.
Ivgeni Kriger, owner of Musical Retirement Home and nurse, is inviting the public to attend one-hour live music events every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the residence on Main Street. Admission is free, and the venue is fully accessible.
Musical Retirement Home provides assisted living in a home-like setting with a focus on music, activities, comfort and quality of life. Different professional musicians perform each week, creating an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a variety of musical styles.
Kriger said he wants to be able to help people not only inside the home, but outside as well.
He said the home believes music can add happiness to life at any age and plays an important role in supporting seniors’ well-being.
The facility has built its care model around music therapy and musical activities. Staff members are passionate about music and share their knowledge and talents with residents. Caregivers also encourage seniors to explore different genres, instruments and personal favourites.
Along with customized care plans, comfortable suites and healthy meals prepared by an in-house chef, the home aims to create a positive atmosphere where seniors can enjoy their later years with happiness and laughter.
