The Town of Gananoque is expanding its current Stormwater Management Master Plan to include a Wastewater Management Master Plan as part of a broader review of the community’s future infrastructure needs.
The amended study is being completed through the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process and will help guide future planning and investments in stormwater and wastewater systems. The Town says the goal is to support sustainable economic growth and development while ensuring infrastructure needs are considered for the future.
Residents, stakeholders and agencies will have opportunities to review information and provide feedback throughout the study. The Town is also preparing a mailing list for anyone interested in receiving updates and information about future public consultation opportunities.
The study will follow Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process and will be used to support future Schedule B and Schedule C infrastructure projects identified through the Master Plan.
The Town says public input will be an important part of evaluating potential solutions and planning for long-term infrastructure improvements.
