The Gananoque Royals Girls Hockey Association is getting ready for its second annual Paintball Fundraiser, inviting the community to take part in a day of fun while supporting local youth hockey.
The event takes place Sunday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ground Zero Paintball in Gananoque. Participants can register for $20 and receive a paintball gun, mask and 100 paintballs.
The fundraiser is open to groups of all kinds, including families, friends, coworkers and teammates looking for a fun day of friendly competition and team building.
Along with paintball action, the event will include a BBQ canteen and raffle prizes. Money raised will help support the Gananoque Royals Girls Hockey Association and its players throughout the upcoming season.
Organizers say community support plays an important role in helping provide opportunities for young athletes.
