Residents of Leeds and Grenville, Gananoque and Prescott will once again have the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste during this year’s Hazardous Waste Days.
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will host collection events at five locations over two Saturdays. The first takes place August 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Leeds County Patrol Garage on Outlet Road near Lansdowne and at the Delta Fairgrounds.
The second collection day is scheduled for October 24, with drop-off locations at the Spencerville Fairgrounds and the North Grenville County Patrol Garage south of Kemptville, also from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The program is free for residents of Leeds and Grenville, Gananoque and Prescott and provides a safe way to dispose of household hazardous materials that should not be placed in regular garbage or recycling.
Residents are encouraged to visit the United Counties’ Garbage and Recycling webpage for a complete list of accepted materials and program details.
