The knitting group at The Wrinkle Room upstairs at the Gananoque Legion is helping to bring some joy and a gift to residents with dementia at local nursing homes. The group is making hand knitted dolls and are looking to donate them. Shannon Griggs told us why they decided to do this.
She tells us the requirements to join the group.
Griggs says they welcome any nursing homes that are interested.
Those interested in helping out for this cause can drop by the upstairs hall at the Gananoque Legion named The Wrinkle Room and join in to help make the dolls. All supplies are provided to the group. The Wrinkle Room is also open Monday Wednesday and Friday with many activities for seniors aged 55 plus. The room is also fully accessible.
