The Town of Gananoque’s unofficial list of candidates is taking shape ahead of the Municipal and School Board Election on Monday, October 26, 2026.
As of August 11, two candidates have registered for Mayor: Colin Brown and Ted Lojko.
The current unofficial list of candidates for Councillor includes Mike O’Callaghan, Michael Bannister, Vicki L. Leakey, Ben Goernert, Anthony Colvin and Anne-Marie Koiner.
The municipal election is governed by Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act. The current term of Gananoque Council began November 15, 2022 and ends November 14, 2026.
The Town reminds residents that the candidate list is unofficial and may change as the nomination period continues.
The October 26 election will determine Gananoque’s next municipal council, along with representatives for local school boards.
