The Gananoque Royals Girls Hockey Association is inviting the community to step up to the plate for a day of fun while supporting local female athletes.
The association will host a 3-Pitch Ball Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Jerry Park in Lansdowne, running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers say the event is open to all skill levels, with co-ed teams of 10 to 12 players welcome to register.
The tournament will include raffles, a 50/50 draw, a home run derby and a canteen, with splash activities also planned on site. Team registration costs $375.
Funds raised will help support programs and opportunities for players in the Gananoque Royals Girls Hockey Association. Organizers say an under-18 division may be offered if enough interest is shown. Registration information is available through the association.
