Children’s Mental Health of Leeds and Grenville is moving forward after an agreement ended its labour disruption, bringing staff back Thursday and clearing the way for services to restart across the region.
Executive Director Lorena Crosbie confirmed employees returned Aug. 13 following the work stoppage.
Families who were receiving care before the disruption will be contacted as the agency rebuilds schedules and confirms appointments.
People who were waiting for a first appointment also remain in the system and do not need to submit another referral.
The agency says the restart will take place in stages as staff reconnect with internal systems and work through existing caseloads.
New referrals are expected to reopen sometime next week. Families are being asked to check the agency’s website or call for the latest information.
CMHLG says urgent concerns can still be brought forward by phone before regular referrals resume.
The return marks an important step for children, youth and parents who have been waiting for care during the labour disruption.
Crosby said the organization is focused on rebuilding connections and moving forward in an organized way.
The agency has not releasing details of the agreement that ended the dispute.

CMHLG provides mental health services to children, youth and families throughout Leeds and Grenville, and says its immediate priority is getting existing clients connected with care again as normal operations begin returning across the region this week.
