With nominations for Ontario’s municipal election closing soon, the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands mayoral race has two candidates on the unofficial list.
Incumbent Mayor Corinna Smith-Gatcke filed her nomination papers May 7, while Jason Page entered the race on August 12.
Nomination papers can still be filed until 2 p.m. Friday, August 21, which is Nomination Day.
The Township’s nomination list will continue to be updated throughout the nomination period, meaning the field could still change before the deadline.
The Municipal and School Board Election will take place Monday, October 26, 2026.
