Children at Thousand Islands Daycare in Gananoque got an up-close look at some impressive vehicles Tuesday during a special Touch-a-Truck event.
The morning gave youngsters the chance to climb aboard and explore vehicles while meeting some of the community members who operate them. Gananoque Police Service and Gananoque Fire Service were joined by representatives from Riverton Homes and Full Service Property Maintenance for the event.
The children had the opportunity to check out the different vehicles, learn more about what they do and, of course, enjoy a few horn honks along the way.
Organizers say everyone had a fantastic time, while thanking the local businesses and community services that took part and helped make the event possible.
