Waterfront residents in Leeds and the Thousand Islands will have an opportunity to learn more about cottage fire safety and emergency preparedness. The Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service and Thousand Islands Association are hosting a Dock-to-Door Fire Pump Clinic on Saturday, August 29, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Government Dock at 117 Ivy Lea Road in Ivy Lea. Along with the pumps, there’s more to learn according to Richardson.
Richardson says it’s a good time to ask any questions you wish.
Organizers are encouraging seasonal and permanent residents to attend and learn how they can better protect their families, properties and neighbours.
