Gananoque voters will have a choice of four candidates for mayor in the 2026 municipal election, according to the town’s official list of certified candidates released Monday.
Seeking the mayor’s chair are John Beddows, Colin Brown, Cliff Feltham and Ted Lojko. Meanwhile, nine candidates have been certified to run for council.
The council race includes Michael Bannister, Anthony Colvin, Ben Goernert, Matt Harper, Mike Kench, Anne-Marie Koiner, Vicki Leakey, Mike O’Callaghan and David Osmond.
The certification confirms each candidate has met the requirements of Ontario’s Municipal Elections Act and submitted the necessary nomination documents and fees.
The official list was certified by Town Clerk Penny Kelly and dated August 24, 2026. Municipal voters will head to the polls later this year to elect Gananoque’s next council and mayor.
