Property owners in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands could receive financial assistance for improvements through the Township’s Community Improvement Plan.
The program offers grants through five incentive programs, supporting a variety of projects. Eligible improvements can include commercial and mixed-use building façade upgrades, accessibility improvements, and creating or bringing secondary dwelling units up to code.
Funding may also support the conversion, expansion or redevelopment of buildings for new or expanded commercial, mixed-use or other non-residential purposes. Improvements related to agriculture, agri-tourism, ecotourism, recreation and on-farm diversified uses may also qualify.
The Township is now accepting applications for its fall intake, with a deadline of Friday, September 4th.
Property owners are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and contact Township planning staff to discuss their proposed project before applying.
