Four local youth were recognized Tuesday for completing the Youth in Policing Initiative with the Gananoque Police Service.
Lilly, Skylar, Avigail and Carson were honoured during a graduation ceremony on August 25th after spending the summer gaining valuable experience while serving the community.
Throughout the program, the students engaged with residents, supported local events and helped build positive connections throughout Gananoque.
MP Michael Barrett and MPP Steve Clark were on hand for the ceremony, along with members of Gananoque Council, to congratulate the graduates on their accomplishments.
The Youth in Policing Initiative provides young people with an opportunity to gain insight into community policing while developing workplace and leadership skills.
The Gananoque Police Service says the four graduates did an excellent job throughout the summer and thanked them for their contributions to the community.
