One track title was decided this past Saturday night at the Brockville Ontario Speedway with others still to be decided next week. Eastern Ontario Eavestrough was on hand for a great evening of racing action once again.
The 15 lap Street Stock feature took to the speedway first and Stephane Philippe led the way early with Brett Horner and Francis Gauthier close behind. On lap 5 Gauthier was able to take over the top spot from his title rival, however the driver on the move was Bruno Boivin. After a heart break two weeks ago, spinning in turn 4 on the final lap, Boivin was able to make his move for the lead on lap 8, taking it from Gauthier. Over the final laps Bruno Boivin drove away as Gauthier was trying to collect as many points as he could, to have a chance at the title next weekend. In the end Bruno Boivin dominated for his 2nd win of the year. Francis Gauthier crossed in second and took a 3 point lead in the championship heading into next Saturday. Brad Taillon, Stephane Philippe and two-time track champion Brett Horner finished 5th.
Tyler Stewart is still looking for his first career DIRTCar Sportsman win and was running strong at the front of the field on this night, leading the opening 5 laps of the 25 lap feature. Behind him Jessica Power, Madie Wallace, Jordan Wood and Michael Dillon were also running strong in the top 5. Power was able to take control of the race on lap 6 and started to pull away. Behind her, Shane Pecore, Gavin Eisele and Dylan Kirkland were on the move, breaking into the top 5 just before halfway, as they tried to run down the leader. Eisele battled Pecore for the runner up spot, took it away and ran down Jessica Power, while points leader Dylan Kirkland stayed close to his title rival Pecore. With 6 laps remaining Gavin Eisele closed in on Power and tried several times to make a move for the lead. Eisele had a run on lap 23 but the yellow flew for a spun Cory Lambert in turn three. On the final restart Jessica Power was able to hold off a determined Gavin Eisele for her third win of 2026 at The BOS. Dylan Kirkland maintained a 12 point lead heading into final points night with a third place effort, while Shane Pecore kept the title in sight with a 4th place run. Jordan Wood had his best finish of the year crossing in 5th.
The 30 lap DIRTCar 358 Modified feature was up next and Lucas Fuller was looking to add a second win of the season, as he took the lead from Johnathon Ferguson and Melcolm Banks in the early going. The yellow did fly quickly for Kyle Dingwall, who slowed with a problem in turns 3 and 4. On the restart it was Ferguson re-taking the top spot, however current points leader and three time feature winner Chris Raabe was on the move going from 7th to 4th down the back stretch. Raabe would then take second from Lucas Fuller, as he chased Johnathon Ferguson for the top spot. On lap 15 Raabe took over the lead and began to turn in another dominant performance. Johnathon Ferguson in the mean time was doing what he could to old off Lucas Fuller, while 2nd in points Bobby Herrington was breaking into the top 5 late in the race, but had some work to do to catch Raabe for the lead and gain any points. Over the final laps Chris Raabe was unstoppable and marched on to score win his 2nd win in a row and 4th of the season at Brockville,
along with a weekend sweep, with victories at Airborne and Mohawk on Thursday and Friday. Johnathon Ferguson, Lucas Fuller Bobby Herrington and defending track champion Tristan Draper crossed in 5th. Raabe now holds a 38 point lead on Herrington going into next week.
The 20 lap Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprint Car feature was up next and things did not go good for points leader Andrew Hennessy, who had already locked up the track title early in the night. Hennessy’s car would not fire off due to an electrical issue and was forced to the pits, however the title is officially his. When the green flew for the feature Rick Wilson took the lead over Lee Ladouceur and Liam Ladouceur. On lap 4 Lee Ladouceur took over the top spot and start to drive away as Wilson then contended with Liam Ladouceur for the runner up spot. Liam was able to get by Wilson just past the halfway point, but had work to do to catch his father for the lead and the runner up spot in the championship. Over the final laps, not even lapped traffic would slow down the two-time track champion, as Lee Ladouceur marched to his second win of the season at Brockville and solidified the runner up spot in the title chase. Liam Ladouceur crossed in 2nd with Wilson finishing in the third spot. Adam Turner and Eric Boisvert rounded out the top 5.
The final feature of the night was the 12 lap Novice Sportsman event and Landon Ryan would lead early over points leader Garin Thompson and Cody Washer. The great run for Washer ended early as he spun in turn two on the second lap. On the restart Thompson would take the lead from Ryan, with last weeks winner Rylan Banks moving into the number three spot. Another quick yellow slowed the race on lap 6 bunching up the field for a key restart. When the green flew Landon Ryan re-took the top spot from Thompson as the top two began to pull away. Over the remaining laps, Garin Thompson tried to keep pace with the leader but on this night, Landon Ryan was too strong, scoring his 4th win of the year and 4th win in the last 6 races. Thompson crossed the line as runner up for a 6th time this year. Rylan Banks, Chris Wilson and Rhylan Poole completed the top 5.
Next week, track titles will be decided in the DIRTCar 358 Modified and Sportsman divisions along with Novice Sportsman, Street Stock and Mini Stocks, with many battles very close. Racing action begins at 7pm.
