The Town of Gananoque is temporarily reopening the Public Works Yard at 665 Charles Street North for leaf and yard waste disposal.
The yard will operate through October 31st, following temporary approval from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. The depot will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
Access is off James A. Brennan Road, and the service is free of charge.
Residents can bring loose leaf and yard waste or use brown paper bags. Plastic bags are not permitted.
The temporary reopening is for leaf and yard waste only and does not include brush.
The Town says the extension is intended to help manage seasonal demand for leaf and yard waste disposal.
