Council in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands has approved a Heritage Conservation and Celebration Grant application for 181 Tower Road, also known as Bradley House.
The application provides for funding of 50 percent of eligible costs, up to a maximum of 5-thousand dollars.
The funding would help cover the replacement of the home’s front entrance stairs and landing, along with repainting the exterior of the dwelling.
Council has also approved the related Application for Alteration under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The work cannot begin until the property owner obtains a building permit from the municipality.
The heritage grant funds will also be subject to the property tax account being in good standing before payment is issued.
Bradley House is one of the properties recognized through the Township’s heritage conservation program.
