Drivers in Gananoque should expect traffic disruptions on King Street East next month as the Town carries out roadway maintenance.
From October 5th to the 9th, traffic lanes on King Street East, between Charles Street and Carmichael Drive, will be temporarily shifted or closed.
The Town and its contractor will be applying a protective surface treatment to all three driving lanes.
Drivers are reminded to follow posted signage, traffic control measures and any detour routes in the area.
The Town says at least one entrance to every business along King Street East will remain open throughout the work, although access may be temporarily limited because of construction.
Temporary pavement markings will be installed after the treatment is applied. Permanent line painting will take place several weeks later to allow the treatment to properly adhere to the roadway.
The Town thanks drivers and businesses for their patience during the work.
