Residents looking to serve their community are being encouraged to join the Leeds Thousand Islands Fire Service.
The department is hosting a recruitment information session on October 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Leeds Fire Station 1 on Prince Street in Lansdowne.
Officials are seeking paid on-call firefighters to help respond to emergencies across the township.
The session will provide details on training requirements, responsibilities, and the application process.
Applications will be accepted until October 30, 2026. Interested residents can learn more by visiting the township website or contacting the fire service directly for additional information.
