A 50-year-old Augusta Township man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a homicide investigation that began in July.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to a County Road 26 residence shortly before 3:30 p.m. on July 8, where a person was found dead. The death was determined to be a homicide.
The deceased has been identified as 79-year-old Donna Lowry of Augusta Township.
Police say David Collison was arrested Tuesday and also faces charges including indignity to a dead body, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Another person was charged with indignity to a dead body on Sept. 15 in connection with the investigation.
Collision remains in custody and has already appeared in Brockville court today.
The Grenville County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate with several specialized units and the coroner’s office.
