The Frontenac OPP Crime Unit has laid charges in two separate investigations involving allegations of sexual offences.
In the first case, police were notified in August 2025 of a sexual assault involving a youth in Central Frontenac Township. Following an investigation, a 32-year-old male from Central Frontenac Township was charged on September 17th with sexual assault of a person under 16, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
In a separate investigation, Frontenac OPP received information in December 2025 about an individual allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. A search warrant was executed at a South Frontenac Township residence on January 1st, 2026, and multiple electronic devices were seized.
Police say 28-year-old Drake Tavares of Kingston was arrested and charged September 23rd with possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
