The Canadian Police Memorial Ride to Remember made its way through Gananoque this week as police officers and other participants cycled toward Ottawa to honour those who have died in the line of duty.
The annual ride took place September 23rd to 26th, with cyclists travelling toward the nation’s capital ahead of the Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial on Parliament Hill.
Gananoque was once again part of the route, continuing a long-standing connection between the community and the Ride to Remember.
The ride honours police and peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Participants arrived in Ottawa Saturday, ahead of the annual memorial ceremony Sunday, September 27th.
