The Frontenac Howe Islander ferry will be out of service for four hours on Monday, October 5th.
The County-operated ferry is scheduled to be out of service from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. to allow the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario to carry out work on the ferry’s drive and guide cables.
Island residents and other ferry users are advised to plan ahead and make alternate arrangements during the temporary interruption.
Regular service is expected to resume after the scheduled maintenance period.
Travellers should allow extra time for their trips and keep the service interruption in mind when planning travel to and from Howe Island.
