Gananoque residents will have a chance to meet local firefighters this weekend as part of Fire Prevention Week activities.
The Gananoque Fire Service is partnering with Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Services for a community event on Saturday, October 10th.
Firefighters will be at both Canadian Tire and Home Hardware in Gananoque from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can meet members of the fire service, check out the fire trucks and equipment, and ask questions about fire safety in their homes.
Organizers say residents are welcome to stop by whether they have a specific fire safety question, want to learn more about fire prevention, or simply want to say hello.
The event is an opportunity for local firefighters to connect with the community while sharing important information about preventing fires and staying safe at home.
