The Gananoque Fire Service is looking to add new paid on-call firefighters to its ranks and is encouraging community members to apply.
The position offers residents an opportunity to serve their community while earning a secondary income, with wages ranging from $20.75 to $34.45 per hour. Successful applicants will respond to emergency calls, assist with firefighting and rescue operations, participate in training, and help promote fire safety awareness.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid Ontario driver’s licence, maintain First Aid and CPR certification, and be able to respond to the fire station on Herbert Street within a reasonable time, preferably less than eight minutes.
