Residents in Lansdowne may notice discoloured tap water later this month as part of scheduled fall maintenance.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency will be conducting hydrant flushing throughout Lansdowne from October 20th to October 30th.
The Township says the work may cause temporary discolouration of household water during the flushing period and for a short time afterward.
Residents who notice discoloured water are advised to run their taps until the water runs clear.
Officials say the discolouration is a normal result of maintenance on the water distribution system and is not hazardous to health.
Anyone with questions or concerns can contact the Ontario Clean Water Agency at 613-340-4563 and ask to speak with the on-call operator for OCWA-Seaway Valley
