Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service is looking for new recruits and is inviting interested residents to learn more about becoming a firefighter.
The service will host a recruitment night on Wednesday, October 21st, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Station One in Lansdowne.
The event is open to prospective firefighters interested in joining any of the township’s fire stations, not just the Lansdowne location.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet current firefighters, ask questions and learn more about the role, responsibilities and requirements of serving with the fire service.
Anyone considering a volunteer firefighting role is encouraged to attend and find out how they can help protect their community.
