Voter turnout in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands has reached 11 per cent as residents continue to cast their ballots in the 2026 municipal election.
The township reported the figure as of 9:30 Wednesday morning, October 21st.
Residents are being encouraged to make a plan to vote if they haven’t already, and to remind family, friends and neighbours to participate.
Municipal council decisions affect many aspects of daily life, including local roads, recreation, planning, emergency services, community programs and municipal budgets.
Anyone who has not received a Voter Information Letter can contact election staff by emailing election@townshipleeds.on.ca or calling 613-659-2415, extension 253.
The township says every vote helps shape the community’s future and ensures residents’ voices are heard.
