The Leeds County OPP Detachment is inviting residents to learn how to recognize and avoid scams at a free fraud awareness presentation in Lyndhurst next month.
The event takes place Tuesday, November 10th, at 5 p.m. at the Lyndhurst Legion, located at 306 Lyndhurst Road.
OPP fraud experts will lead the hour-long presentation, covering several common scams, including cryptocurrency fraud, romance scams and grandparent scams.
The presentation is open to community members of all ages and will include a question-and-answer period at the end, giving attendees an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about protecting themselves.
Coffee will also be available at the Legion. Residents are encouraged to attend and help raise their awareness of fraud.
