Kehoe Marine Construction LTD has been awarded the tender in the amount of $58,731.80 for the Lyndhurst viewing platform at Furnace Falls Farm.
Township staff, along with Greer Galloway Consulting Engineers revised the plans to comply with the Environmental Protection Act.
Council also added that, fund raising by the Lyndhurst Rejuvenation Committee in the amount of $21,493.59, Council approved an amount of $25,000 in the 2022 Capital budget which has been carried forward to 2023, along with a grant secured by staff through the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative for $33,750, totals $80,243.59 for the project. After the design and approval costs, the amount of $69,790.59 remains
for construction.
A start date for the project has not been determined.
