Local Sports:
Congratulations to the Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School Intermediate Boys Basketball team as they qualified for the UC Cup!
Also GSS Juniors Allison Hoogenraad and Maggie Farndon. Along with Seniors Ella Hanna and Kayden Kelly-Moorhead competed in the Skyward Active Health Centre’s Girls’ Volleyball All-Star game at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville last week. They represented the school and Gananoque very well. Congratulations girls!
It’s a 5th and deciding game as The Gananoque Islanders beat the North Dundas Rockets 5-4 on Saturday night. The Islanders travel to Chesterville to try and wrap up their first Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League title in their third try. Could the third time be a charm?
