Last week, we found out that U.S. President Donald Trump had put 50% tariffs on steel and aluminum coming into Canada.
For local breweries, that means an increase in the cost of importing cans. However, Phil Audet, Owner of ARBRU Solar Brewery in Mallorytown says there are ways to pivot.
Phil says they’re currently getting their cans from a Canadian supplier.
He reiterates that there are options such as importing bottles from Germany.
