The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands (TLTI) reminds residents that the Municipal Office and Waste Sites will be closed on Monday, August 4, 2025, in observance of the Civic Holiday. This closure will also affect curbside waste pickup in Lansdowne, which has been rescheduled to Tuesday, August 5.
Town Hall in Gananoque will also be closed on Monday, with regular business hours resuming on Wednesday, August 6 at 8:30 a.m. (Note: the original message said Wednesday, August 5, but August 5 is a Tuesday in 2025.)
Meanwhile, the Gananoque and 1000 Islands Visitor Centre, located at 10 King Street East, will remain open throughout the long weekend, operating daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Public washrooms at the centre will be available.
There will be no changes to waste and recycling collection in Gananoque on Monday.
Local banks and post offices will be closed for the holiday, while most restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores are expected to remain open, though some may operate on reduced hours.
Both the Town of Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Civic Holiday weekend.
